Quick Resume Writing Tip: This resume example illustrates the importance of creating an eye-catching design. Don’t make the mistake of using a resume template or worse, just listing out your experience without any attention to the design. In a very real sense, the design and structure that you choose are very strategic decisions. They should be as unique to you as your content is. Design elements should be used creatively to create page balance and to draw the eye to areas of emphasis. In this document we have used a variety of techniques, including a table, bullets, graphic lines, and selective bolding of text to create a one-of-a-kind, attention-getting resume. But, it is worth repeating again. You should never use a template. Your resume should be uniquely designed to set you apart from other candidates and to emphasize your unique selling points. If you use a template (or a format that looks like a template), you ensure that it will simply blend in with all the rest and won’t effectively promote what you want it to promote.

I just want to let you know that this week I had four interviews and 3 job offers! One is with my mentor's company, XXXXX, another with XXXXX, and a third with XXXXX. The salary ranges are from $80-$100k. I'm deliberating now about my options, and will start "negotiations" this afternoon. Two job offers came on the same day (yesterday). Three of the interviews came from my on line responses to ads. The XXXX interview was arranged by my mentor who suggested I apply for a position. I start August 4th as an assistant PM working first on a 1.5 billion (with a "b") dollar proposal, then off to the job site in September, working either on the XXXXXX renovation project or various cultural projects with musuems, libraries, etc. in XXXXX. Starting salary $90k with a review and increase to $95 by the end of the year. If I finish my PMP and LEED certifications, I will get an additional $3k for each certification.
