How To Verify My Identity

Unfortunately, job search fraud and scams are rampant. Reported losses to job scams and fake employment agencies have risen sharply in recent years, and independent researchers have tracked large year-over-year increases, driven in part by artificial intelligence that lets scammers work convincingly and at scale.

Protecting your personal information and helping you avoid career-related scams are important to me. Fraudsters sometimes use the names, photographs, credentials, business information, and online profiles of legitimate career professionals to make a message appear authentic.

Scammers succeed by creating a believable identity and controlling the pace. Trusting a professional-looking person does not make you careless. If something ever feels wrong, pause, save what you have, and reach out to me. I would always rather answer a question than see you put at risk.

Here is how I will and will not work with you, so anything that falls outside this should make you pause and contact me directly.

I WILL NEVER

  • Claim that purchasing my services is required for you to remain eligible for a job.
  • Guarantee that you will receive an interview, job offer, placement, or specific career outcome.
  • Ask you to pay by gift card, cryptocurrency, or another payment method not listed on this page.
  • Ask for your banking password, account login, one-time security code, or Social Security number through email, text, LinkedIn, or another messaging platform.
  • Pressure you to make an immediate payment because a job opportunity will otherwise disappear.

IF YOU RECEIVE A SUSPICIOUS MESSAGE

Do not reply to the message, click its links, download attachments, send payment, or provide personal information. Do not use the phone number, email address, website, or payment link inside the questionable message. Instead, locate my public NRWA member profile and contact me through the official information listed there. You may send a screenshot of the message, but remove passwords, account numbers, Social Security numbers, security codes, identification documents, and other sensitive information
