Over the years, Distinctive Career Services has provided outplacement services to a number of individuals, and we’ve been asked numerous times by our HR and management clients if we could package solutions on a larger scale to be delivered to groups of their exiting employees during company downsizings.
In response to these market needs, we’re excited to announce the launch of Distinctive Outplacement Services.
Outplacement services are often given as a benefit by companies both large and small, to provide their separating employees job search and transition assistance. Outplacement services can be provided alone or they may be part of a larger severance package. A neutral third-party provider is usually selected, as they can help lessen the immediate feelings of anger and grief that many people feel following the loss of a job.
Outplacement services are most often arranged by companies for groups during a layoff. Sometimes an employer will provide the individual separating employee with the resources to select and hire an outplacement provider on their own. Distinctive Outplacement offers services in both cases, to individuals and to companies. We can also help when a transition involves relocation, assisting the relocated spouse to quickly find employment in the new location.
