Human Resources Resume Example

Example Human Resources Resume

Quick Resume Writing Tip: This human resources resume for an HR manager showcases the importance of including results in a resume–ideally quantified results. It is absolutely essential that you include accomplishments, but you provide additional context, meaning, and credibility to your accomplishments when you include numbers that illustrate the results and value you have provided. This human resources resume was written using a somewhat unique format, in which the accomplishments and results are called out in a table format. And the result is a really powerful resume in which the eye is drawn to the key points. Of particular note, a result that will be especially persuasive and compelling in a human resources resume is showcased in the summary section, using a shaded callout box: “Repeatedly delivered value to employers in excess of 10X salary…”. This is an especially compelling statistic for an employer seeking strong ROI.

I just want to let you know that this week I had four interviews and 3 job offers! One is with my mentor's company, XXXXX, another with XXXXX, and a third with XXXXX. The salary ranges are from $80-$100k. I'm deliberating now about my options, and will start "negotiations" this afternoon. Two job offers came on the same day (yesterday). Three of the interviews came from my on line responses to ads. The XXXX interview was arranged by my mentor who suggested I apply for a position. This all happened (the callbacks) between 1-3 days after I posted my resume. The VP at XXXXX who interviewed me said that he reads thousands of resumes, and that mine was really exceptional. He was talking about your work. Thank you!

(Received a few days later from the same client...)

I start August 4th as an assistant PM working first on a 1.5 billion (with a "b") dollar proposal, then off to the job site in September, working either on the XXXXXX renovation project or various cultural projects with musuems, libraries, etc. in XXXXX. Starting salary $90k with a review and increase to $95 by the end of the year. If I finish my PMP and LEED certifications, I will get an additional $3k for each certification.

I'm so happy that this happened so quickly and that it's such a great job! As I mentioned, the reason they called is because of the resume. They were also impressed by the biography, and apparently the interview went well too :) Thanks again for everything. I couldn't have done it without you.

My opportunity search is going reasonably well. I have had about 6 agencies submit me to about 10 openings. Half of those agencies I had not worked with previously and had to go interview with them to prove that I can dress myself correctly etc. All of them were pleased with the new resume. One just couldn't stop saying "wow".

Two of the agencies asked for info on where I had it done and I gave them the pertinent details. I believe they were interested in using your services for some of their clients vs having someone in house or local, especially after seeing the spectacular job you did on mine.

Of the 10 openings they submitted my resume to, I have had one two-hour interview (managers in a different city) and three company site interviews. I believe I have a good chance of receiving an offer from the last one I did of these on Friday.

In addition to the agencies, I have researched approximately 40 companies that looked interesting and submitted my resume directly to them via email (75%) and fax (25%). For handful that were especially interesting, I spent some extra effort on company research and customized the blind-submittal letter to target them and also found operations managers email addresses. Bypassed the HR department and careers@/jobs@ generic buckets. None of these direct contacts had a relevant position advertised on their website or any of the job boards . . . Of all of these, one of them has responded favorably and has given me two rounds of interviews thus far. They are in the process of drafting a contract offer, which I hope to see soon. This was a company that didn't even know they were in need of someone like me before my resume/letter came floating into their view. :-)

Very happy with the results thus far. I'll definitely keep plugging your services when appropriate in the future.

(Then several days later from above client)

Just dropping you a quick note to let you know that I have received the first contract draft for my new position. It will be a one year contract at a leading Canadian fixed-wireless internet service provider. Decent rate, decent people, interesting work all await me next week. This was a place that I had mentioned previously that didn't have any positions of this type advertised at all, and didn't consciously know they needed my help, before the wonderful new resume landed in front of them. I attribute my landing of this contract almost 100% to the super job you did on my resume. I had the raw materials, but you sure got them to "clean up nice" :-)

Hi Michelle, First, before I say anything else, I am very impressed by your documents. I am still reviewing them but given my impatient nature, I wanted to send you a note right away :-). What you wrote and how you summarized is simply astounding to me, if I can learn to write with the skill and prose that you demonstrate here, I can likely propel my career even further. All I can say is thank you for doing such a wonderful job. This has exceeded my expectations and the proof will be the results and offers that I receive. I am counting on a good return on my investment and with these materials, believe I am on a good path.

The resume is even better than I expected and I am certainly pleased with the outcome, especially since I do not believe that I would have been able produce this quality the first time out. This service has clearly pointed out the need for a professional resume writer to clearly articulate areas where I would have undersold myself.

I just wanted to personally thank you for the incredible resume you prepared for me! Yesterday, I sent a resume to a company via email and I had a response waiting for me first thing this morning. When I first saw this in my inbox, I thought it was going to be a quick note indicating they received my resume, etc. This was not the case. The recruiter was pleased and wanted to set up a time for a phone interview and asked me to answer some basic questions. This is the first time I sent out my new resume and I received an immediate response. It takes alot for me to be satisfied and be able to respect individual's work. Needless to say, you have my utmost respect and I am extremely pleased! This was the best thing I could have ever done to enhance my career. Thank you once again!
