Hi Michelle, First, before I say anything else, I am very impressed by your documents. I am still reviewing them but given my impatient nature, I wanted to send you a note right away :-). What you wrote and how you summarized is simply astounding to me, if I can learn to write with the skill and prose that you demonstrate here, I can likely propel my career even further. All I can say is thank you for doing such a wonderful job. This has exceeded my expectations and the proof will be the results and offers that I receive. I am counting on a good return on my investment and with these materials, believe I am on a good path.

I have spent hours on the final draft that you sent, I also showed it to a dear friend and mentor who has seen 100X more resumes than I and hired and fired more high level execs than I will ever know, she was quite impressed!

...Although we have never met you and I are the team that will insure that my family is taken care of. All of this to say that I am extremely pleased with the final product! I have been too close to see how truly efficient and functional the document is. You fit a tremendous amount of "stuff" in a pretty concise package. The biggest problem with writing your own resume is objectivity, when to include something and when to leave it out, it should be easy (if I'm as good as the resume makes me sound), but it is very difficult. I learned a long time ago that all business is basically the same, but as humans we think that just because we are unique, our situations are unique and no one else can understand what we do, have done and/or need in business. You delivered a product that proves that you too have that understanding but more importantly know how to make us feel and look as unique as we are. The resume is outstanding, type style, layout, conciseness and its packed with good quality writing. I am very pleased. Our exchanges have been lively, thought provoking and insightful, I'm glad you are my side! Again thanks for everything, you will get referrals, and if its okay I will keep you posted on my success.

I have already said thank you and in fact, I do not have the proper words in my vocabulary to express what I feel for your product. My resume is something out of this world! I also mentioned to XXXX that my daughter and I (here in RSA) have never yet seen such quality, the quality that is included in your end product. Yes indeed, I am more than grateful for what you did for me. I have already shown it to a number of people in this country; people who are planning moves to the USA. Your website, your name, your numbers are all readily being tossed around here, and I hope these people will soon be contacting you and your company. Thank you once again for a super superior resume!

Hooking up with Michelle Dumas and Distinctive Documents three years ago was like adding rocket fuel to my career trajectory. I subsequently was promoted from senior writer to editorial creative director and then editor in chief with Muscle & Fitness, a major national fitness magazine. Concurrently, I also opened a series of new freelance writing accounts, including one with Men’s Health, the world’s largest men’s magazine, and signed three progressively more lucrative book deals, most recently with LL Cool J as my collaborator. In every instance, the resume Michelle initially created for me, and the lasting impression it leaves, cracked open the door. It’s an amazing confidence builder to sit down for an interview with the CEO of a major American publishing company and have him look down and say, “Wow--that’s a really impressive resume.” And the fact that a professional writer turns to her for assistance tells you how good she is.

I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that hiring Michelle was the best investment I’ve ever made in my career. I probably have been repaid 100-fold for what I spent.

Above and beyond the quality of Michelle’s work, the way she goes about doing it is a revelation. Her adherence to process, deadlines and quality control is so unyielding that I’ve been inspired to apply it to my own work as well. When she says something, she inevitably holds herself to it, which is rare these days.

In sum, to anyone looking for a resume consultant, I give Michelle Dumas the highest recommendation I can possibly give to another person: A+, five stars, you name it. You won’t be disappointed.

Last Monday I received a call from a low level recruiter that had read my old resume on the Institute of Packaging Engineers job site. She was looking for a candidate to fill a Packaging Engineer position that paid $60-$70,000 per year. I emailed her my new resume, the one you created, and immediately received a call from her boss. The boss was a much more savvy, high powered, recruiter. She had a much higher position in mind for me...The interview went very well. My second interview, this time with the CEO and the directors of the companies two current divisions is scheduled for this Wednesday...The position is for a Business Development Manager to start a new division. Once sales hit $4 million dollars the position will become the director of the division and expansion will begin in earnest. The salary for this position starts at $120,000 per year. I just can not thank you enough for the all the hard work you did to create such an outstanding resume and set of support letters. The recruiter received the recruiter letter and resume. The company received the resume and the thank you letter. Things are looking good to land the perfect job for my experience and aspirations.
