Resume Updates
A large part of our business involves working with past clients of Distinctive Documents, to keep your resume updated and ready to go at all times. We believe in building and maintaining relationships with our clients, partnering with you to help you advance through each step of your career. It is really important to keep your resume updated at all times. A good “rule of thumb” is to update your resume at least once per year – every 6 months is even better.
This section is for placing an order to have us update or refresh a document we have already written for you in the past. If you are a current or past client and want to have us write new job search documents for you (e.g., bio, networking resume, additional letters, etc.) you can place that order above. If you want a document updated in addition to having us write new documents, just return to this page to place your update order.

As with all commissioned services, we require payment in full prior to scheduling your project. Please PLAN AHEAD. We are not able to accept rush orders. Turnaround time for commissioned writing services (including updates) is approximately 10 business days. Beyond simply updating your resume, we will be reformatting to ensure the proper length, editing earlier positions that may no longer be as relevant, and ensuring that the profile and language is still suitable for your objectives. |

| Resume Update – More than 48 months since we developed your resume or since your last update or a refocused resume for a career change (if we wrote your original resume within the past three years) – $347 If your resume is more than 4 years out of date, it is time for an overhaul and refresher to ensure that it meets the current standards. Or, if you want us to refocus your resume to achieve a career change, this is the service for you. * If it has been more than 5 years or so since we wrote your most recent resume, we highly recommend that you consider having us start over and rewrite your resume from scratch. So much changes in that amount of time that it is difficult to “update” your old resume and it will be to your benefit to have it redeveloped to current standards.
